Surprise!

OK, we’re nearing the end of April, and this is what’s happening in my backyard:
Most of what you see is a heckuva lot of hail. Now it’s snowing, albeit anemically. I get that this is common in Minnesota. But Portland?

Sorry! That was a load of 0113-03 that Gary ordered. Can’t figure out how it ended up all over your backyard.

Well, it was gone about an hour later, so Gary’s just outta luck. Now if it had been 1401-03 (wouldn’t THAT be gorgeous) you’d have seen me out there with a shovel, scooping frantically. At the rate I go through 1401, would have been worth it.
(And I’m embarrassed to admit that I still had to flip through the catalog to identify 113 as white. After all these years the only color numbers I know by heart are 243, 137, 1401, and, oddly, 1426. I suppose that shows where I live…)

Heh, heh… when I went to work this morning it was 78F. Supposed to get up in the mid-80′s. No… not MSP, Tampa. Great place I’m at today. They have an honest-to-ghu aligator in the pond behind the building. It tends to focus one’s consulting mind knowing that failure may lead to a lunch engagement with the resident reptilian garbage disposal unit.
So, let’s see… Portland to Tampa. I suppose I should do Bangor and San Diego next week so I hit both the diagonals?
