BooneOakley

There’s no such thing as a perfect website.
Websites are SUPPOSED to evolve as people’s requirements (and ideas) change. Therefore, while you might get a website that’s perfect for exactly one nanosecond in time where site design, content, product and people work perfectly together, what you mostly get is the need to improve the site.
HOWEVER…some sites come pretty bloody close to perfect, and BooneOakley is one of them.
BooneOakley is an advertising agency in North Carolina, of all places. They’re absolutely outrageous and irreverrent, as you’d expect with an agency out in the sticks wanting to play in Manhattan’s sandbox…but they’re doing cool things with popnotech.
For example, the YouTube video above IS their website. The buttons work, each of the segments controlled by the buttons is itself a YouTube video. Type in their URL (or click the link above), and you simply get back to YouTube. They do provide a “more info” link…but it’s to their Zazzle store, where you can buy BooneOakley t-shirts.
Worth a look. And thanks, by the way, to Cynthia Oliver for pointing this out on Facebook.
P.S. Apparently I’m not the only one tickled by BooneOakley’s approach. A would-be advertising agency employee, Jason, has adopted it…for his application to BooneOakley. Cute.

Oh, Ghu! I love it. Let’s see… what can I do for my Old(e) and Ancient Examiner site…
