Have no fear that Ernie will disappear into Atlanta. I’ll put a studio-cam in over his royal cat throne (otherwise known as my laptop) and ya’ll can keep up with him virtually and visit him physically anytime you’d like. Jessie can be his official photographer recording his interactions with the bunny, the spaniel and the deerhound. Oy. The dogs still miss our cat Loiosh who moved on to kitty heaven last year. Ernie will get a special welcome from them, I’m sure. And I think an Ernie fan page on Facebook can be arranged…

I had the good fortune of meeting Ernie one evening. Actually, that was the evening he decided he wanted to explore the outside world and made a mad dash out the front door as Cynthia and I were hurriedly trying to get to a meeting (Cynthia was the presenter!). So, out the door he ran. Somehow I was able to contain him through the front steps while Cynthia coaxed him with one of his favorites – chicken. Gonna miss ya big guy!

Believe me, if I could keep Ernie, he wouldn’t be going anywhere; I’ve gotten kind of attached to him. And the night before he leaves, right before we start his no-food-the-night-before-the-plane-ride bit, I’m gonna give him a whole daggone slice of chicken. And maybe even some bacon…

Hmmm. Lani, I didn’t put in that condition on the adoption but it’s a brilliant idea. Brenda, in your spare time…
