I know I emailed, but come over for kitty fixes. Please? Smudge would love it & Bruce the Wild Thing loves to show off for non-family members by rubbing & chatting & all the usual. (I’m the only one with scars!) Rajah was a prince.

Thanks, all. I really appreciate it. If you look at the cubic volume of house vs. the cubic volume of Rajah, he didn’t take up all that much space. Odd, then, that losing him really emptied the place out–it’s ‘way too quiet around here now.

Cynthia, I am so sorry to read this. I am so glad I had a chance to meet him. He was quite a cat with quite a vocabulary. Apparently most of it involved various words for food. He will be missed.

I feel your pain Cynthia. I know that sounds trite but I truly mean it. I had a one-of-a-kind cat too who found me as a kitten and would not leave.

oh Honey, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it was for you when you lost Chinni, and now that handsome boy, Raj. He was, by all cat standards, a special gift. I’ve never been a cat person, unitl I met your babies. I know there is a special place in this great big universe where we will be with those people and animals we loved in this life. You’ll get another crack at loving and taking care of them both again. They couldn’t have found a better Mom.

Cynthia, he was one in a million. I’ll never forget him in the old days back in Potomac, when he was a fearless adolescent leaping up to hold his little red paw under the kitchen faucet. God bless him and you.

that’s really too bad. i had to put down my OJ last nov, after having him since he was a tiny kitten. he came to my back door, walked in, sat down on the couch, and stayed for 21 years. he’s buried out back at the base of my favorite saguaro, next to where my wife and i plan to be planted. our other 5 cats were subdued for quite a while afterwards, as if they sensed he was gone, as he was an old guy who had lots of medical problems, but they still gave a wide berth to.

i volunteer at a cat rescue, and it’s so hard not to bring them all home, especially given all the hard-to-hear stories we get. perhaps you want to volunteer somewhere to keep connected to them.

Well , where does one start to heal the pain and loss you are feeling. I LOVED Raj tooooooo!!!!!!!!! BUT he had the ultimate BEST person to enjoy his life ever. Cynthia, you where born to be his “Person MOM” . You where sooo caring and attentive and just plain the best of “MOM CAT” in the world. He was a lucky cat. I will truly miss him tooooo and am sending lots of hugs your way. Oh dear eh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
