This is fascinating Cynthia and I for one am glad that you are willing to share your thoughts because I find it inspiring to know how other artists proceed with their creativity. Your mold making / sculpture is WAY over my head, but I really enjoy reading about it and admire what you have accomplished.

The work is stunning. SHOUT is a true work of art in my opinion.

Ellen, having seen your work I have trouble believing that.

Chani, I tried that (and, actually, another piece in this series does do more of the looming thing, but it’s definitely not castable in the Skutt), and did make far more use of that above/below position in the final piece. I heartily agree with you, it’s part of the whole menace thing.

have you thought about your juxtaposition? if shouting man were beneath reactor, it could look like an extremely frightened man rather than an angry one.
