Here’s an interesting physics problem:
You have a flat plastic container full of virgin olive oil and one dozen jumbo green olives stuffed with feta cheese. The container measures 4×6×1.5 inches. The oil has been chilled to approximately 36 degrees, increasing its viscosity.

The rain, rain, rain came down, down, down…

Somebody up there was listening to me…it’s raining.
Not only raining, but I woke this morning to thunder and a flash of lightning. According to the National Weather Service, we have an unprecedented summer storm moving in and it’ll rain (and thunder) a surprising amount over the next three days.

Never stops raining in glassland? Feh!

At 3pm today my thermometer measured a cool 104 degrees and if a cloud has graced this sky in the last week I sure didn’t see it. At 6 pm the temperature finally broke…to 99 degrees.
Sheeeeeeeesh. If I’d wanted weather like this I’d have stayed in central California.
